LABYRINTHS IN NATURE AND IN 3D VIRTUAL REALITY
My stone labyrinth in Nature, made in autumn 2004:

My intention is to make more labyrinths in nature and recently I discovered exactly how I could do that.
It started the day my husband and I went on a walking holiday in September 2008. In the post that morning was a small package from my best online friend from Canada and when I opened it I saw a cute little key ring in the form of a butterfly, with in the middle a little clock:

She sent it as a birthday gift and she knows how I appreciate those simple little gifts. I took it with me on holiday. And it inspired me to make my first three path butterfly labyrinth in Nature from attributes provided by Nature.
When walking in the woods I saw a lot of fir-cones lying on the ground and got the idea and already saw myself making it. I went home and first designed the labyrinth I had in mind on paper and when I was satisfied with the result, went back to the woods with a large bag and started collecting fir-cones.
Then I started to lay the pattern down:

In the beginning it looked more like an apple than a butterfly, but it had already a nice radiation:

So I wasn't quite satisfied yet and while my husband was giving advice from the little balcony of our holiday cottage and taking pictures, slowly but surely the apple transformed into a real butterfly:
The next morning I found a few other attributes to make the butterfly labyrinth look complete. After walking it a few times, I felt a deep gratitude about a very natural nice piece of art; the inspiration for it received from Nature and by making it, giving it back to Nature again. This is how I always feel when I get inspiration to create: I receive it from the universe and by creating, I give it back to the Universe and it also works the other way around: what I radiate I receive back.
I have dedicated this butterfly labyrinth to Donna, who inspired me with her little birthday gift. We know each other through Intentblog and email for more than 3 years now and have inspired each other to create some wonderful things, for instance the little design/poetry book with her digital designs and my poems:

Next step will be for me to lay down as many of those three path butterfly labyrinths in nature as I am able too, in the different seasons of the year and with the different attributes nature is providing me. I envision already how my second one will look like and for that one to be realized, it will be a quiet autumn day with little or no wind.......
A butterfly labyrinth from autumn leaves:

And of course am going to make those above two butterfly labyrinths in 3D on my computer so that I can also walk them virtually. That will be another nice challenge and goal to reach!
The past week (7 -12 october 2008) I have made the most wonderful, wonderful natural labyrinth in Nature and I feel grateful to have been able to make it. I feel rich with a wonderful memory in pictures and perhaps many other people wondering about it or having fun with it.
I made a heart labyrinth, so simple and yet so beautiful, from big fir-cones and in it so many coloured autumn leaves:

The wonder was that I made one with a left entry and one with a right entry, opposite towards each other and it turned out to be the most beautiful natural butterfly I have ever seen:

Creativity inspired by nature and given back to nature.
My perspective is focussed on gratitude towards Nature, towards Spirit, towards Happiness with the smallest things that can bring joy in ones life. Hereunder a 3D framework I made on the computer of the same one:

The above frame could easily be made into a nice crystal necklace and perhaps I may decide to let it be made like one.
Rendered in 3D it looks like this:

And......, it can be virtually walked too :)
Someone on Intentblog told me that the above picture reminded her of tulips. And after a while it occurred to me that on my balcony sits a beautiful statue of a Buddha with a tulip in her hands and a labyrinth under it. Well, this shows how one's inspiration is unconsciously influenced :). This Buddha was a present from my husband some 3 years ago when I turned 60, another milestone in my life. (((Bonnie Thanks))) !

And look how by mirroring the above wireframe and the rendered one, the 3D virtual butterfly emerges:

It is ones own perspective that creates.
Not only have I found my creative way to create with natures abundance in a simple way, but it also opens new perspectives to use all of this in 3D virtual reality too.
Today at the end of November 2008, it snowed the whole day in our country. This is something that does not occur every year in a land that has a maritime climate. So I took pictures and one of them, a view from where I live, really invited me to virtually place my heart labyrinth on the flat roof, as an everlasting memory of a wonderful day:
